Elliott Distinguished Presidential Lecture Series on Thursday, Nov. 9. The presentation begins at 6 p.m. in Lipscomb University’s George Shinn Center. David French appointed visiting professor of public policy at Lipscomb University.
David A. French a New York Times columnist, former constitutional litigator and Iraqi War veteran has been appointed distinguished visiting professor of public policy in Lipscomb University’s College of Leadership & Public Service. French holds an undergraduate degree in political science from Lipscomb and is an opinion columnist for the New York Times. As distinguished visiting professor, French will teach traditional and short-courses as well as support special events and engagements. On Tuesday they picked up where the left off with #4 Vanderbilt, this time on their turf, after last weeks game was postponed. Lipscomb lost to Vanderbilt 1-11. They start their three-day series against Liberty on Friday. The Softball team lost the series against Jacksonville 0-3, as well as their mid week game against Chattanooga 1-3. Mass shooting at private school in Green Hills near Lipscomb
Update 3:45 p.m.: The shooter has been identified as Audrey Hale. She is believed to be a former student at the school, but that has not been confirmed at this time. Update 12:53 p.m.: Metro Nashville PD identified the shooter as a 28-year-old Nashville woman. Update 12:30 p.m.: Seven are confirmed dead, this includes three students, three staff members, and the shooter. The shooter had been identified as a female. Baseball ended their spring break in a three-day series against Jacksonville, losing Friday but winning [heftily] on Saturday and Sunday. Their Tuesday game against Vanderbilt was postponed to March 28 of next week, due to weather. This weekend, they will be in North Carolina for another three-day weekend series against Queens. The Friday game will be aired on ESPN+. Softball ended their spring break with three wins over Bellarmine at Draper Diamond on Saturday and Sunday this past weekend.
