Lilli Grace Barden, River and Rail fill The Well with love
On Feb. 3, River and Rail took the stage as The Well Coffeehouse filled with support from friends and classmates. The night was filled with an abundance of love songs, perfect to kick off Valentine’s season. Grace Fincher, senior commercial music major, and her husband Alex Fincher make up the folk duo River and Rail. Playing songs that highlighted the couple’s lyricism accompanied by a melancholy acoustic guitar, this show was a showcase of all things River and Rail. The duo captivated the crowd with original songs ranging from love songs — perfect for Valentine’s day — to songs inspired by nature, family and diving into the mind of oneself. …

Halloween dodgeball returns for a spooky season
The crowd is roaring. The competition is ruthless. A nun is on the ground. Madness has just begun. Each year for nearly two decades, the Student Activities Board hosts the fabled Halloween Dodgeball Tournament. A fight-club style evening where students of all ages come together in one cage. Teams enter in groups of five, and united by their choice of costumes, play for a championship. The tournament is October 28th at 8 p.m. in Fanning Hall and is a centerpiece of Lipscomb’s annual Hallo-Week festivities. Bisons take game one of series, lose last two
The Bison baseball hosted ETSU on Friday and Saturday. While the Bisons won on Friday by a score of 9-4, the team lost both games of their doubleheader on Saturday, however, losing 15-6 and 6-3.

Lady Bisons sweep USC Upstate, improve to 4-0 in A-Sun

The softball team faced one the best pitchers in the nation on Saturday; that, however, would not slow them down on their way to improve their conference record to 4-0 Game 1 It was an old fashioned pitchers’ duel on Saturday afternoon as Lipscomb’s Whitney Kiihnl and Upstate’s Morgan Childers went head-to-head at Draper Diamond. Going into the weekend Kiihnl and Childers ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in hits given up per game. Softball sweeps ETSU in A-Sun opener
It was a busy weekend for the Lady Bisons hosting ETSU and USC twice on the weekend. The ladies swept ETSU 5-0 and 2-1 as part of their “Strike Out Cancer” night to raise breast cancer awareness.
