This week in Baseball: Our bisons lost 0-3 to Mississppi State in their weekend series. On Tuesday they traveled the Knoxville to play the University of Tennessee Volunteers, they took a tough 0-10 loss but will be back home this weekend hosting at Ken Dugan Field a three-day series against Jacksonville. Ken Dugan Field and Draper Diamond Field are ready
Colby Ralls is one of the groundskeepers at Lipscomb in charge of taking care of Ken Dugan Field, Draper Diamond and the Lipscomb Soccer Complex. He has been working full time at Lipscomb since 2017. Before that he did some game-day prep for baseball in previous seasons. A normal day as Ralls puts it, "everyday is a new day out here, it always depends on what field is being played on that week and what time of year it is." Softball did well in their weekend series this past weekend, playing four games and winning three of them to take the series. Their only loss was to Providence, in their second game against the team. Softball season bound to begin with a bang
The moment until the Lipscomb Bisons Softball girls hit their first game balls is growing ever closer. Less than four hours remain until the team plays its first game. Herd Media was able to interview some of the team, getting their insights on the team chemistry and the upcoming season. Herd Media was also able to hear one of the freshmen's thoughts on joining a college team, and one of the upperclassmen's opinions on the new additions to the roster.

The softball team faced one the best pitchers in the nation on Saturday; that, however, would not slow them down on their way to improve their conference record to 4-0 Game 1 It was an old fashioned pitchers’ duel on Saturday afternoon as Lipscomb’s Whitney Kiihnl and Upstate’s Morgan Childers went head-to-head at Draper Diamond. Going into the weekend Kiihnl and Childers ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in hits given up per game. Softball sweeps ETSU in A-Sun opener
It was a busy weekend for the Lady Bisons hosting ETSU and USC twice on the weekend. The ladies swept ETSU 5-0 and 2-1 as part of their “Strike Out Cancer” night to raise breast cancer awareness.
