    Lipscomb baseball’s 2026 season ended Saturday with a 10-4 loss to No. 3 seed Louisiana in an elimination game at Dudy Noble Field. The loss wrapped up the Bisons’ NCAA Regional run after they won the ASUN Championship to earn a berth in the tournament. Louisiana took control early.     Bisons drop regional opener to Mississippi State, face elimination Saturday

    Lipscomb baseball dropped its NCAA Regional opener this Friday, 10-1, to host Mississippi State at Dudy Noble Field. The loss moved the Bisons into the elimination bracket. They will now face Louisiana on Saturday afternoon. Mississippi State’s pitching staff kept Lipscomb’s offense in check for most of the game. Lipscomb senior pitcher Alexander Llinas matched the Bulldogs early, throwing three scoreless innings to open the game. Mississippi State broke through in the bottom of the fourth, using three singles and a walk to score three runs.     For the fourth time in program history, Lipscomb baseball is the ASUN Conference champion. The Bisons rallied in the ninth inning and won 5-4 in 10 innings against North Alabama on Saturday afternoon at Melching Field to claim the ASUN Tournament title. With the victory, Lipscomb secured an automatic bid in the NCAA Tournament. Junior infielder Cam Pruitt was named the ASUN Tournament MVP. They beat Florida Gulf Coast University 4-1 on Thursday in the opening round of the ASUN Tournament. Lipscomb got a strong start from senior pitcher Alexander Llinas, who capitalized on the Bisons’ three-run fifth inning to secure the victory.
