Before the 2024-25 men’s basketball season started, if you’d asked senior forward Jacob Ognacevic what his goals were, he’d tell you three things: win the ASUN, make it to the NCAA Tournament and pursue undeniability. Now, at the end of the season, Ognacevic has done all three and then some. An ASUN Championship victory has been something the Wisconsin native has been aiming for throughout his four year tenure at Lipscomb. Will Pruitt talks NCAA Tournament, future, team
Men’s basketball senior guard Will Pruitt has seen a lot during his time playing at Lipscomb University, but he’s stuck with the team through it all. This year, he wound up with the opportunity to play on an NBA court during the first round of the NCAA Tournament, after bringing home the ASUN Championship for Lipscomb. Though the No. 14 Bisons fell to the No. 3 Cyclones, the team was all smiles, as they got to take part in something most kids dream about – playing in the big dance. Under the lights of the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the Bisons warmed up with a shoot around on the floor of the NBA Bucks’ home stadium. The No. 14 Lipscomb Bisons took on the No. 3 Iowa State Cyclones on Thursday at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Though the Bisons fell to the Cyclones 55-82, appearing in March Madness is always memorable. Herd Media Sports Photographer Micah Barkley traveled on a bus with the Lippy Lunatics to cover the game. The Lunatics rented two Gray Line buses, and almost 100 students – Lunatics and Pep Band – made their way to Milwaukee. The Lipscomb Bisons, who one week earlier had clinched the ASUN Tournament championship in Allen Arena, learned Sunday that they will play Iowa State on Friday in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The team returned to Allen Arena to view CBS’s Selection Sunday show and were surrounded by hundreds of students, family members and other fans filling every seat in the sections set up for the watch party. Lipscomb Baseball’s NCAA Tournament path has been revealed; here’s everything you need to know
After their ASUN championship victory against FGCU on Sunday, the Lipscomb Bisons won the ASUN Tournament Championship and clinched an automatic bid for the NCAA Tournament. This will be the third time in program history that Lipscomb has made the NCAA Tournament and is the first time since 2015. Though the Bisons knew that their place in the tournament was secured, what they didn’t know was who they would be playing against or where.
