In the inaugural matchup between the two programs, the Lipscomb Bisons women’s soccer team suffered a 3–0 setback to ASUN newcomer University of West Florida on Thursday afternoon at the UWF Soccer Complex. The contest marked the first-ever conference meeting between Lipscomb and West Florida following the Argos’ transition to NCAA Division I and the Atlantic Sun Conference this fall. The Lipscomb women’s soccer team opened its conference slate on Thursday night, battling Jacksonville University to a 2-2 draw at Southern Oak Stadium. The Bisons built a commanding two-goal advantage early in the ASUN opener, but a resilient Dolphins squad fought back to split points. At the end of her 2025 spring season, Lipscomb midfielder Bella Carapazza, then a sophomore, had one personal goal for her upcoming season – win MVP. They fell to the Govs 56-63, shut down by Austin Peay’s defense.
