Walt Leaver recently announced he would be retiring from his position as Lipscomb’s vice president of university relations, a role he has held since 1997. Leaver has been a cornerstone of many Lipscomb events, but chief among them is the annual Lighting of the Green. He was heavily responsible for the creation of the Christmastime event in 2005 and has been involved in every one since.
