It’s time to say goodbye to the old, and hello to the new. If you’re someone that has been craving healthier eating options at Lipscomb, then we’ve got some good news for you. Two new on-campus dining options will be coming to Lipscomb next year. ‘Boar’s Head Deli’ will be replacing ‘Pie on the Fly’, and ‘Wild Blue’ will be replacing ‘Creekstone Burger Company’. A look back at the special 2022-2023 Lipscomb Women’s Basketball Team
Devastatingly, the Lipscomb women’s basketball team fell to Liberty 84-56 last Wednesday in the ASUN semifinals, officially concluding their season. Although it was a loss by a wide margin, the result is not how we should remember this team. The way we should is a team that reached the 20-win threshold and went high above expectations. Softball did well in their weekend series this past weekend, playing four games and winning three of them to take the series. Their only loss was to Providence, in their second game against the team. Lipscomb falls to FGCU in regular-season finale
A close game between the Lady Bisons and Florida Gulf Coast Wednesday night turned into the biggest Lipscomb loss of the women’s season. The Eagles won 101-59 in both teams’ final regular-season game. This was not how anyone expected the Lady Bisons’ final game of the season to go. FGCU (29-3, 17-1 in the ASUN) is No. 24 in the nation and enter the postseason first in the ASUN. The Lady Bisons (19-11, 13-5) are seeded third in the conference and have a first-round bye in the ASUN championship. This week with Lipscomb by the numbers we’re looking back at the university-wide Giving Day, which took place on Thursday, February 23rd. There are a lot of numbers from Giving Day, so let’s dive into some of them. Giving Day this year was a success, with over two million dollars raised. The official final number is $2,097,446. To put this into perspective, the highest Lipscomb has raised in the past was $2,330,643 during former Lipscomb President Willard Collins’s “Million Dollar Day” in 1985. Lipscomb by the numbers: Men’s basketball at Liberty
This week’s Lipscomb by the numbers heads back to an epic conference upset game – the Lipscomb Bison’s against the Liberty Flames. The men’s basketball game on February 4th against the Flames featured a lot of numbers. The Flames were the number one team in the ASUN conference, with a 9-1 win-loss. The Bisons were the number six team in the ASUN, with a 5-5 win-loss. Despite what those numbers might suggest about the outcome of the game, the Bisons beat the number one team in the ASUN 69-64. Lilli Grace Barden, River and Rail fill The Well with love
On Feb. 3, River and Rail took the stage as The Well Coffeehouse filled with support from friends and classmates. The night was filled with an abundance of love songs, perfect to kick off Valentine’s season. Grace Fincher, senior commercial music major, and her husband Alex Fincher make up the folk duo River and Rail. Playing songs that highlighted the couple’s lyricism accompanied by a melancholy acoustic guitar, this show was a showcase of all things River and Rail.
