14-seeded Bisons to face No. 3 Iowa State in NCAA tourney on Friday
The Lipscomb Bisons, who one week earlier had clinched the ASUN Tournament championship in Allen Arena, learned Sunday that they will play Iowa State on Friday in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
The team returned to Allen Arena to view CBS’s Selection Sunday show and were surrounded by hundreds of students, family members and other fans filling every seat in the sections set up for the watch party.

The 14-seeded Bisons will play the No. 3 Cyclones in Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee. The tip-off will be at 12:30 p.m.
Two Bisons — ASUN Player of the Year Jacob Ognacevic and Grant Asman — hail from Wisconsin.
“Grant and J.O. get to go home,” said head coach Lennie Acuff.
As for Iowa State, Acuff said, “They’re good. They’re very good. This will be interesting.”

“Just from the bottom of my heart, we’re blessed,” Acuff said. “God has been so good to us, and we’re so thankful. Let’s have fun this week, OK?”
