Noah is a philosophy student at Lipscomb University, planning to attend law school after graduation and then enter corporate law. He holds an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts from Colorado Christian University, and his interests encompass theology, philosophy, politics, and cinematography. He is involved in a variety of student organizations and serves in his local church.

    Department of Security releases 2026 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report

    At the end of September, the Lipscomb Department of Security released its 2026 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report. The Report shows remarkably few instances of reported crime for the years 2023, 2024, and 2025. Students see this as testimony to the Department of Security’s effectiveness. “Students are thriving,” freshman Luke Nadeau said. “The security here is top-level, and seeing their presence around campus is comforting.     Students celebrate Hispanic culture at “Salsa en el Shamblin”

    Though originally planned to take place in Bison Square, “Salsa en el Shamblin” was moved into Shamblin Theatre on Friday night following a sudden rain forecast. Regardless of the unexpected change in plans, a large group of students showed up to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month with a salsa dance. In the first half of the event, two instructors helped students learn salsa basics for both solo and partnered dancing. In the second half of the event, students were free to mingle and practice their newly developed salsa skills.     Faculty reflect on Dolly Parton’s life and legacy

    This Friday, Lipscomb University celebrates “Dolly Day” as an opportunity to appreciate Dolly Parton’s legacy. The day’s date, 9/25, is a nod to Parton’s hit song “9 to 5.” Tennessee native Dolly Parton was a country music singer-songwriter, fashion icon and philanthropist. Her passing on Aug. 26  was mourned by those who recognized her gift not only in songwriting but also in making a positive change in the world. In the Lipscomb community, Parton’s influence can be viewed through several different lenses. Three Lipscomb faculty members shared their personal stories of how Parton inspired them.     Lipsync showcases freshman talent

    Members of Lipscomb’s freshman class displayed their teamwork and dancing skills at Tuesday night’s lip-sync competition in Willard Collins Alumni Auditorium. This year’s theme was “Girl Group Power and Boy Band Fever.” The two teams that walked away with the grand prizes were Team One, which won Crowd Vote with its performance to *NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye,” and Team Eight, which won Judge’s Pick with its performance to One Direction’s “Drag Me Down.” The evening started when the ten male members of Team One took to the stage in leather jackets, dancing to *NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye.” The performance was accentuated by impressive stunts such as backflips, and the audience…

    Newly elected SGA senators outline priorities for the year

    Bennett Campus Center was filled with laughter and conversation on Wednesday as the newly elected Student Government Association (SGA) members made dirty sodas for over 100 students.  The meet-and-greet allowed attendees to get to know their elected peer representatives and ask about the trajectory of the semester from a student government perspective. Last week, a record number of students ran for SGA positions. 32 students ran for seven seats on the Freshman Leadership Council, and seven student hopefuls ran for senator vacancies in the sophomore, junior and senior classes.  A desire to represent the greater student body was a common theme in the newly elected senators’ approaches.  Sophomore Lily Weimer…
