Forrest Maners is a senior sports media major from Jackson, Tennessee. He enjoys photography, video, and sports writing. Besides being a student, Forrest spends time as a student assistant for Lipscomb Baseball. Some of his best accomplishments come from being the Media Ministry Intern at his home church. He developed a broadcast system, podcast studio, and various types of social media content. Forrest hopes that someday he will be working for a professional sports team.

    Singarama 2025: A blockbuster tradition takes the stage

    A lasting tradition of Lipscomb University is Singarama. This spring brings the 62nd annual student led musical to campus. Hundreds of students, alumni and family with gather in Collins Alumni Auditorium to watch students battle it out every night for the grand prize.     State of campus housing amongst growing student population

    Lipscomb’s enrollment of new students is at an all-time high. Questions are beginning to mount about where students will reside during the school year, especially for upperclassmen. The Village is open to a majority of upperclassmen. It features apartment style living while being in the heart of campus. The process of obtaining the space is very competitive. Open rooms are made available through a lottery process. Current residents are given the option to squat the space. Essentially saving their spot for the next school year.     A night in the Jazz Age: Lipscomb’s student body formal returns

    Lipscomb University’s Student Body Formal is set to transport students straight into the Jazz Age. The formal will be from 6-9 p.m. on Feb. 7 in the Shinn Center. It will feature live music, a DJ and a night full of dancing. This annual event has become somewhat a tradition, offering students a chance to dress up, celebrate and make memories together.     The Lipscomb Bisons rebounded from Thursday’s loss with a commanding 86-67 victory over West Georgia in a thrilling come-from-behind win. Despite a slow start that left them trailing by 15 points in the first half, the Bisons showed resilience to cut the deficit to five, entering halftime down 38-33.  West Georgia (3-13), riding high after a win over ASUN foe Austin Peay, looked poised to challenge Lipscomb early on.     Lipscomb Men’s Basketball drop game 3 of its ASUN slate against Queens 75-73 in a classical Allen Arena thriller. The first half saw the Royals jump out to an early 11-2 lead, fueled by Chris Ashby’s three early 3-pointers. Lipscomb, however, chipped away behind strong play from Dylan Faulkner.
