Wild Bison Fest takes the stage for its second year – a photo gallery
Lipscomb’s School of Music hosted the Wild Bison Festival for the second year in a row this weekend. Featuring artists such as The Arcadian Wild, Dawson Hollow and Jervis Campbell, the festival lasted for most of the day. Lipscomb music students like Izzy Mahoubi, Elaina Christina and Bronson Campbell also performed alongside the other artists.
The events started around noon with a writers’ round and lasted late into the evening. The artists performed at both the Flatt Amphitheater and the Stage set up on the steps of Collins, shows alternating between the two. During a break between the acts, there was a Pickin’ Party at the Pavilion, with many students bringing guitars and other instruments – including a fiddle and a flute. Members from Dawson Hollow and The Arcadian Wild also joined in the Pickin’ Party.

The next Bison music festival will be Mild Bison Fest in the spring, also hosted by The Arcadian Wild.

Micah Barkley serves as Herd Media's editor-in-chief and chief sports photographer. She is a senior Journalism major with a minor in German and a passion for photography. This is her fourth year on Herd Media’s staff, having started as an assistant editor, then becoming the features editor, before being promoted to editor-in-chief. Outside of writing and learning languages, she enjoys riding horses, music, basketball, swing dancing and line dancing, and spending time with her friends, among other things. She has writing experience with The Numismatist – a publication of the American Numismatic Association – and The Williamson Scene and is an aspiring author with two books currently published under the pen name Summer Ryland. When not at Lipscomb, she lives on a communal cattle ranch in the great state of Texas.
