    Does your phone ring in class? – FEMA testing the Emergency Alert System

    The Federal Emergency Management Agency will be partnering with the Federal Communications commission to conduct a test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS).   There will be 2 parts of the test. The first part will be testing the Emergency Alert System, and the second part will test the Wireless Emergency Alert System (WEA).   Both tests will begin at approximately 1:20 CT on Wednesday, Oct. 4th.   What does this mean for you? The WEA portion of the test will send an alert to all cellular devices.
