    14-seeded Bisons to face No. 3 Iowa State in NCAA tourney on Friday

    The Lipscomb Bisons, who one week earlier had clinched the ASUN Tournament championship in Allen Arena, learned Sunday that they will play Iowa State on Friday in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The team returned to Allen Arena to view CBS’s Selection Sunday show and were surrounded by hundreds of students, family members and other fans filling every seat in the sections set up for the watch party. The 14-seeded Bisons will play the No. 3 Cyclones in Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.     Basketball takes on Central Arkansas twice and dominates – a photo gallery

    Lipscomb’s men’s basketball team faced off against the Central Arkansas Bears twice in the past week. Their first game, on Wednesday, saw them beat the Bears 78-60 to become the ASUN regular season champions. Then in their second game, on Monday, they triumphed over the bears 84-66 to move forward in the ASUN Tournament bracket. There were some key moments in both games, some of which happened not once, but twice – such as Lipscomb senior forward Jacob Ognacevic dunking on UCA.     Lipscomb men’s basketball beats UNA to tie for first in ASUN standings

    Lipscomb men’s basketball faced off against the University of North Alabama in a high-stakes game on Thursday night. The winner would determine the ASUN standings, as UNA was first with 12-3 and Lipscomb was tied for second with 11-4. If Lipscomb beat the UNA Lions, they would advance to tied for first in the ASUN standings.     Tennessee Titans begin partnership with Lipscomb basketball

    Thursday Jan. 30, marked the start of a partnership between the Tennessee Titans and Lipscomb Men’s Basketball. “Titans Night” featured Lipscomb and its ASUN conference rival Eastern Kentucky facing off on the court.     Ognacevic reflects on the beginning and looks ahead to the rest of his fifth college season

    Lipscomb’s men’s basketball team has been dominating their season, currently 13-6 in all and 5-1 in ASUN conference play. Senior Forward, Jacob Ognacevic, has contributed greatly to the team’s success, coming back from a redshirted junior year to start every game for the Bisons. Despite not seeing the court due to his injury for nearly two years, Ognacevic came back ready to play, and with a more positive outlook on the game as a whole.     Lipscomb WSOC take home rings from the ASUN Championship

    Lipscomb’s Women’s Soccer team took their season by storm, finishing the regular season with a 14-3-4 record. They won against teams like Ole Miss and Eastern Kentucky, and beat rival Belmont 3-1 while almost six hundred students and fans watched. The Lady Bisons advanced to the ASUN championship as the third seed, taking on seventh seed Bellarmine at home on November third.     When many people think of Lipscomb senior Meg Mersman, they often see her as one of the leaders and faces of Lipscomb’s volleyball program over the past five seasons.  They see a 6’2 middle blocker that is the reigning ASUN Conference Player of the Year.     A Beautiful Day for baseball

    This past Tuesday was Lipscomb’s A Beautiful Day, and amidst many events, the baseball team hosted Vanderbilt. The first time Vandy had come to Lipscomb for a home game in 14 years, the stands – and surrounding hills – were packed.
