The Bisons at the Big Dance – a photo gallery
The No. 14 Lipscomb Bisons took on the No. 3 Iowa State Cyclones on Thursday at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Though the Bisons fell to the Cyclones 55-82, appearing in March Madness is always memorable.
Herd Media Sports Photographer Micah Barkley traveled on a bus with the Lippy Lunatics to cover the game. The Lunatics rented two Gray Line buses, and almost 100 students – Lunatics and Pep Band – made their way to Milwaukee. It was a 25-and-a-half-hour “day” for the students, leaving at 1 a.m. on Friday morning and returning to campus at around 2:30 a.m. Saturday.

Micah Barkley serves as Herd Media's editor-in-chief and chief sports photographer. She is a senior Journalism major with a minor in German and a passion for photography. This is her fourth year on Herd Media’s staff, having started as an assistant editor, then becoming the features editor, before being promoted to editor-in-chief. Outside of writing and learning languages, she enjoys riding horses, music, basketball, swing dancing and line dancing, and spending time with her friends, among other things.
