Data narratives: introductions
Building on last year’s success, the Data and Interactive Journalism will publish a series exploring a variety of topics through data visualization. The series takes inspiration from the book Dear Data by Giorgia Lupi and Stefanie Posavec. In their book, Lupi and Posavec embarked on a creative journey, swapping hand-drawn visualizations on postcards that captured the ebbs and flows of their daily lives. Our class will use a similar method, to explore personal narratives and the data that bind our collective experiences. Our first topic is introductions and connection. Every MLB season I try my best to make it out to the nearby ballparks as much as I can. If the Cubs are not playing in front of me at Wrigley Field, then I will be tuning in and watching on TV whenever possible. Three Big Ten teams to watch out for in March

The reason they are the number one threat out of the Big Ten is because of their three major wins on the season and they firepower they have on their roster. Players to watch: Projected first-round-picks Jalen Hood-Schifino and Trayce Jackson-Davis. Jackson-Davis is a first-team All-Big Ten selection and Hood-Schifino won Big Ten Freshman of the Year.
