The Lipscomb women’s soccer team’s historic season concluded Thursday afternoon with a 1-0 defeat to the No. 3-seeded Florida State University in the second round of the NCAA Tournament at Shaw Field in Washington, D.C. The lone goal of the tight contest game came in the 23rd minute from Florida State’s senior defender Heather Gilchrist, who scored into the top left corner of the net, assisted by sophomore midfielder Taylor Suarez. The Lipscomb women’s soccer delivered a major upset in the NCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament, defeating the No. 6-seeded Mississippi State University 1-0 on Saturday night at the MSU Soccer Field. The lone goal of the first-round contest came in the 31st minute from captain junior midfielder Bella Carapazza, with the assist credited to sophomore midfielder Chloe lliff. Bisons continue perfect ASUN form in 5-0 win over Austin Peay
The defending ASUN champions secured a dominant 5-0 win over the Austin Peay Governors on Sunday. The massive win was in large part due to junior midfielder Bella Carapazza’s performance running the midfield. The captain scored one goal and one assist in the second half of the game. From the beginning, it was evident that Austin Peay was going to have a hard 90 minutes.
