    ‘It’s a big party!’ as students celebrate a successful Giving Day

    Last night at midnight, the Stu was the place to be. Students gathered in the center of Lipscomb’s campus for free Whataburger and a chance to win scholarship money. The catch? Students had to stay until 12am to be eligible to win.  “What a day, What a scholarship, Whataburger” closed out Lipscomb’s annual Giving Day, and the mood was celebratory. Hundreds of students joined the faculty and staff that made Giving Day possible in the student center.     Lipscomb by the numbers: Giving Day

    This week with Lipscomb by the numbers we’re looking back at the university-wide Giving Day, which took place on Thursday, February 23rd. There are a lot of numbers from Giving Day, so let’s dive into some of them. Giving Day this year was a success, with over two million dollars raised. The official final number is $2,097,446. To put this into perspective, the highest Lipscomb has raised in the past was $2,330,643 during former Lipscomb President Willard Collins’s “Million Dollar Day” in 1985.
