All smiles for March Madness – a photo gallery

Lipscomb’s men’s basketball team took on the Iowa State Cyclones this month in March Madness. Though the No. 14 Bisons fell to the No. 3 Cyclones, the team was all smiles, as they got to take part in something most kids dream about – playing in the big dance.

Under the lights of the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the Bisons warmed up with a shoot around on the floor of the NBA Bucks’ home stadium. Everyone on the team was smiling and joking with one another as they prepared for the biggest game of the postseason. It had been a fantastic regular season for the Bisons – the team taking Regular Season Champions in the ASUN – and a wonderful postseason as well. The Bisons became the ASUN Tournament Champions with their 76-65 win over North Alabama in the championship finals, earning a spot in the NCAA Tournament for the second time in program history.

The energy was high as the team prepared for the game, and the smiles and enthusiasm were infectious. Herd Media Sports Photographer Micah Barkley captured some of them. (Click here for the larger photo gallery from the game.)
